About Carly Jo
Carly Jo Jackson just finished recording her first 5-song EP with Arch Productions LLC, Orlando, FL. Influenced by some of the hottest female performers of all time including Colbie Caillat, Josh Stone and Bonnie Raitt, singer/songwriter Carly Jo Jackson's debut CD offers a glimpse of what makes her one of the best new artists today.
Recording with Arch Productions in 2011 was a dream come true. Carly Jo has been singing since before she could talk, but didn't take to the stage until she joined The Pop Shop, a Central Florida-based performing arts school, in 2005. She was given a guitar in 2009, which opened up the world of songwriting. She had lyrics in her head that she could finally put to music. Her first EP was written during an emotional period of her life and the five songs allow the listener to get a glimpse into her diary, from the first song, Just Another Game, which captures that time in some relationships when you are trying to make things work but they continue to deteriorate, to This is Goodbye, the break-up song, which is an ultimate girl-done-wrong anthem.
Carly Jo's has performed in traditional concert venues throughout central Florida including Hard Rock Cafe, the former Cheyenne Saloon, Backbooth and The Haven. She has performed at large festivals such as Light Up Altamonte and the Winter Park Arts Festival, but is equally as comfortable at more intimate coffee shops, restaurants, weddings and celebrations.
Carly Jo is from Orlando, Florida and currently is a college freshman at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, majoring in Music.
